Tamsin is the daughter of parents Alain and Julie (née Martel) Duchesne, and the twin of Pierre. He is the elder by eight minutes. Her parents are professors of history, philosophy and French literature. Tamsin and Pierre are both Halflings, as her father is an exiled Unseelie knight

Tamsin is typically quiet and reserved. She's overly cautious but extremely caring and empathetic. She would do anything to protect people she loves, even if it means sacrificing her own happiness.
She and Finn began dating when they were 17. After receiving some frightening news just after her acceptance letter to Queen's Nursing program, she breaks up with him for his own good and refuses to tell him why. They now live next door to each other in the student dorms. Awkwardness ensues.
