A Closer Look At The Summer Court

The Summer Court is one of the largest of the Faerie territories, and is ruled by Queen Titania of Forest and Flame. It also has the most varied landscape, encompassing forests, meadows, farmlands, beaches and streams. It is bordered by the Dreaming Sea to the north, the Winterlands to the west and the human realm to the south.

The Summerlands produce the majority of the physical food in Faerie, given the steadily warm temperatures. Your average day in the Summer Court is sunny and blustery with a clear blue sky. For this reason, they are prone to drought. Titania has begged the Sky Court's ruler, Prince Celestin, for his aid with breaking the drought on occasion.

The Summer Court is ruled from the Summer Palace, which wouldn't resemble anything close to a palace from the outside. It's weaved from branches and sustained by the Summer sovereign's magic. It forms a roughly rectangular structure around a central courtyard.

There are strict Court protocols in place, and anyone who finds themselves breaching it could end up punished in a creative and lasting way.

The Summer Court is home to predominantly Seelie Fae, meaning those who resemble humans the most closely. The most powerful of these will have a place at Court serving Titania, though your average faerie is likely a farmer or merchant. Mostly normal people, peacefully trying to live their lives and hoping Titania won't raise her tithing rates.

Titania does not allow the independent Fae to live on her lands, though some will slip through her borders from the Winterlands.
